Warm Heart – Mid-Autumn Festival

SEGi University’s Chinese Cultural Society and Confucius Institute organised the “Warm Heart—Mid- Autumn Festival” event in conjunction with the much celebrated mooncake festival among the Chinese people.

Amongst the attendees were Professor Dr. Azrin Esmady Ariffin (Deputy Vice Chancellor, Student Affairs), Ms. Pamela Lopez (Manager of Student Affairs Department), Ms. Chu Shi Wei (Advisor of the Chinese Cultural Society), Ms. Mou Ying (Chinese lecturer, Confucius Institute), employees and over 200 students.

The event started with an opening speech by Professor Dr. Azrin who expressed delight in seeing many students from China involved in this celebration.

Students took the opportunity to show their talents and awed audiences with their Chinese song performances, traditional Chinese Yoyo performance, San Ju Ban performance, a drama and group song performance.

A Lantern Making Competition was also held and students and employees worked in groups to decorate lanterns in the most creative manner and the team from the Confucius Institute emerged as the winner.

With so many fun activities, it was truly a fun-filled night for all!
