EGi University and Colleges have awarded two full scholarships exclusively to High Achievers from Victoria Institution (VI), Kuala Lumpur.
It is the first-of-its-kind scholarship granted to a public school in Malaysia, aimed at championing education for deserving students who excel in both the academics and co-curricular activities.
The scholarship programme is a joint initiative between SEGi and Victoria Institution Old Boys’ Association Foundation (VIOBAF).
In a scholarship presentation ceremony held on May 13 during the 50th Golden Anniversary Charity Extravaganza, a mock cheque was presented to Kamarul Azman Md Arif, VI’s principal, witnessed by chairman of VIOBA Foundation Board, Dato’ Sri Andrew Abishegam.
Full scholarships worth up to RM140,000 are eligible for outstanding students of upper secondary Form 5 and Upper Six from VI, across a wide range of disciplines including Business, Education, Engineering, Information Technology, Hospitality, Mass Communication, and Art and Design at SEGi.
Apart from this initiative, VIOBAF will continue to work with SEGi in other special projects as part of their efforts to encourage, motivate and inspire students and teachers to elevate education standards.
