In an effort to help Malaysians develop positive dental health attitude, a group of dentistry staffs and students from SEGi University had organised an oral health campaign at Surau Al-Syakirin in Bandar Utama.
It is aimed at drawing public awareness on the importance of oral health and hygiene.
The event held on Jan 15 saw a positive turnout from the community as 14 staffs and students from SEGi were seen busily attending to people from all walks of life.
The “Health Behind Every Smile” campaign was part of the undergraduates’ social responsibility project (SRP).
Various activities were held during the campaign including informative talk on formation of dental plaque and tartar, oral screening by SEGi lecturers, and tooth brushing demonstration, among others.
The lecturers had their hands full as 114 people underwent oral screening throughout the event.
