The MBBS programme has an integrated curriculum, where basic and clinical sciences are not delivered as separate units of study. Instead, content from a range of these basic and clinical science disciplines are integrated. This integrated curriculum closely reflects the way in which students will be expected to identify and address clinical problems in both their educational and professional careers. Sibu Hospital is the venue for clinical placement from SEGi University students from the third year onwards.
Students are equipped with knowledge of bioinformatics, bioethics, legal aspects of biomedical practice, managerial and entrepreneurial skills in order to prepare them for industrial and future challenges. Students are taught by creativity, motivation and critical mind set in learning towards higher goals. In the programme, students will also undertake research project, industrial training and an elective period to study technology in medical methods and equipment.
