SEGi University’s Confucius Institute organised a Paper Cutting Session which received an enthusiastic response from both the staff and students.
The local director of the Confucius Institute, Ms. Lydia Foong encouraged all who attended to learn Mandarin at the Confucius Institute at the campus, before having the Chinese director of the Confucius Institute, Mr. Chen Minghu to introduce the history and origins of Chinese Paper Cutting in China.
SEGians were taught various paper cutting patterns such as a bee, five pointed star, the double happiness character in Chinese, a Chinese lantern, a snowflake and many others. The participants were then invited to share their own paper cutting creations with the rest for all to see.
Thank you, Confucius Institute, for organising this sesOKsion!
