Programme Overview

This programme provides culinary expertise required to enter the food service industry at entry-to-mid-level positions and to advance to variety of related positions. The modules are designed in a way that you have practical and theoretical training in all areas of food production. Students of SEGi University’s Diploma in Culinary Arts have access to its 5 kitchens, a mock restaurant with a bar and its mock housekeeping room, which have been modelled after 5 star hotels for the best learning experience at a cost of RM1 million. The mock hotel rooms and restaurant act as a platform for students to expand their knowledge by placing theories learned in classrooms to practical use. With a full-functioning kitchen at hand, students get to experiment and gain a holistic learning experience. As graduates of culinary arts, you can start off from entry to mid-level positions in restaurants, hotels, catering businesses, bakeries or even venture out on your own.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

SEGi University welcomes SPM School Leavers and Pre-University qualification holders to apply. SEGi University admissions team will guide you every step of the way and evaluate your application fairly. Below are the requirements for the Bachelor of Hospitality Management (Hons). If you have an equivalent qualification please do submit your application as well for the admissions committee to assess.
