Broadening horizons to China

In an effort to bring learning to life and increase students’ awareness on multicultural art forms, the School of Hospitality and Tourism (SOHT), SEGi University organised an educational trip for 18 students who were  accompanied by SOHT lecturer, Miss Clarice Kangut. The trip was aimed  at allowing students to evaluate the development of urban tourism according to current and future needs and interpret the urban and regional tourism planning.

Guangzhou, a prosperous metropolis and famous tourist city in South China was selected as their go to destination as it is renowned for its sophisticated building design, sculpture, culture, handcrafts and performing arts. The trip had certainly coloured the students with different perspectives and provided them with fruitful insights on the local and international tourism industry besides allowing them to learn more about tourism development, planning and design.
