After completing your degree, you can work as a construction supervisor and be responsible for construction activities taking place at a site. You will be heavily involved in planning, organising and controlling and controlling projects. You will be supervising contractors and staff and be responsible for maintaining a safe work environment. Your job responsibilities may include hiring and training employees, monitoring the performance of contractors and staff involved in the project, accomplishing the project successfully and meeting deadlines. You will also be involved in allocating resources and materials at the construction site.

After spending sufficient time working as a construction supervisor, your can progress to a Construction Project Manager which is more of a project management profile and you will be entrusted with higher responsibilities. You will oversee a construction project from beginning to end including managing budgets, staffing, adherence to policy, maintaining safety standards and maintaining a schedule. This is a prestigious profile with higher responsibilities
