SEGi University entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with AVON Malaysia and Universiti Malaysia Kelantan (UMK).
Under the tripartite collaboration, Avon will provide internship opportunities to SEGi and UMK students. This allows students to learn directly from the industry to enhance their competency and employability upon graduation, especially in direct sales, retail, marketing management, human resource management, and supply chain, amongst other relevant disciplines.
The event also witnessed the launch of the Avon Centre of Excellence at SEGi University which aims to provide industry exposure to SEGi University students.
There was also the launching of the Avon Young Club @ SEGi and the Avon Young Club @ UMK by the Director-General of the Higher Education Ministry Datuk Professor Dr Asma binti Ismail.
The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed by Professor Dr. Patrick Kee, Acting Vice Chancellor and Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) of SEGi University, En. Azlan Ismail, Head of Human Resource of Avon Malaysia and Professor Dato’ Dr. Mortaza Mohammad, Vice Chancellor of Universiti Malaysia Kelantan and was witnessed by the Higher Education Ministry Director-General Datuk Professor Dr Asma binti Ismail, Datuk Mohamed Azahari Kamil (Group President, SEGi University & Colleges), Dato’ Haji Hanafi bin Haji Mamat (Board of Director, Universiti Malaysia Kelantan), Adjunct Professor Romulus Sirbu (President, Avon Malaysia) and Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Megat Najmuddin bin Dato’ Seri Dr. Haji Megat Khas (Chairman, SEG International Berhad).
