Pet Adoption Awareness Campaign at SEGi University
Students from the School of Communication Studies at SEGi University organised an event to highlight the plight of stray animals. As part of their studies on Communication and Campaign Management, they held the “Pat-a-Pet Day” at the foyer of SEGi College Kota Damansara to commemorate World Stray Animals Day on 4th April.
A local charity organisation, Save a Stray, was invited to share its experience in saving stray animals. Its founder, Ms Jacqueline Tsang appeared at the campus with 15 adorable cats! Everyone was invited to cuddle and play with the cats, and were educated on why it is better to adopt strays instead of buying from pet shops or pet breeders.
There was also a special visit by up-and-coming singers, Ke Qing and also Allan Toh.
The students managed to raise RM1,500 worth of pet food and medical supplies to Save a Stray.
